Life's Too Short to Live - Veronika Kirsanova
Life’s Too Short To Live
with regret.
There is something nestled in regret,
deep within its generations of feelings,
that stems from more than
just the decision that was made
and the reasoning behind the choice.

Regret is the aftershock of the earthquake,
Dorothy waking up from her personal tornado,
the moment when the tide starts to recede
after the hurricane forces the unconsenting waves
to become those of destruction.

Regret fosters a moment of reliance
and vulnerability,
of fear and shame,
gratitude and existentiality.
Contradiction and Corroboration:
...
“it’s different"
silence.
...

immature and confused.
those two emotions affect you.
unrealistic,
inconsiderate,
indecisive,
verbalizing everything you do,
and all of your confusion,

to the very person you’re confused
about, the very thing that confuses you.
Denial and Confirmation:
...

“tell me what you want
i’ll do anything to please you
to help you
to fix you”
“i don’t want you in my life”
“what do you want?”
“you.”
silence.

...

the worst decisions ever made
always start
with saying to
"l i v e
with no
'regret".

But, life is too short to live with these feelings.
Life is too short to try to fix and repair and beg and hope.
Life is simply too short to truly live at all.
